Yellow Sun

That is not a Yellow Sun but a very dreary mountain from the other day. Sweater Weather is coming! And I am two long steps away from wearing my sweet sweet Aidez. Since I've been waiting my entire knitting life for this, I'm going to wear it for a week straight. Sleep, Shower, Shop...just kidding I don't shop. I'm poor remember! All the knitting is completely done :) I never thought this day would come.

All that's left is to .ugh. weave in my ends. Then block and sew in my sleeves! Oh man Oh man!!!!!

On to more knitterly things...this piece has never been properly modeled. I don't consider it finished, there is still so much I can do with it. Finally pictures!

My lovely friend Brandy came over to my apartment wearing a super cute red ensemble. I was folding my clothes and found this at the bottom of my closet. I love how well it fit's her outfit!! I made her model for me because she made it look goood.

Project: Trapeze Jacket by Stephanie Japel
Yarn: Lion Brand Homespun ..acrylic (this was before I procured "real" yarn)
Needles: US 9 24" circular
Mods: I shortened it making the bottom more fitted. Not enough yarn to make it all jacket like.

I finished two of three hats which has now turned into three more. I only have pictures of one of them though.

I cast on and started knitting this in the dark during Moonrise Kingdom. This is for my best friend :) I moved this hat to the top of my list because he's amazing. This was a simple hat with no pattern involved. Basic black and white stripes my favorite!

I've been wearing this hat everyday since I finished, just patiently waiting to give it to him.

Chevron cowl on Carly! This one I designed as I knit also. Four different yarns were utilized in this project and three of them were scraps! Berroco Campus (which is now discontinued), Berroco Vintage in Pepper Berroco Peruvia quick in oatmeal and Sublime Chunky Merino tweed in turquoise. It is super cozy and warm and she looks so happy in it :)
The time has come for me to be responsible. It's FRIDAY!!! PK
